Freedom of Information (FOIA)
The Town of Great Falls complies with the South Carolina Freedom of Information Act (S.C. Code Ann. §30-4-10 et seq.). To submit a FOIA request, contact the Town Clerk at TownClerk@GreatFallsSC.gov or call (803) 482-2055.
Under the South Carolina Freedom of Information Act, any person has a right to inspect or copy public records of a public body, subject to certain exemptions. Requests should be submitted in writing and include:
- Your full name and contact information
- A specific description of the records you are requesting
- The preferred format for receiving the records
Schedule of Fees
- Photocopies: $0.25 per page (standard 8.5" × 11")
- Electronic records: No charge for records readily available in electronic form
- Staff time: If the request requires more than one hour of staff time, fees may apply at the hourly rate of the lowest-paid employee capable of fulfilling the request
The Town will respond to FOIA requests within 10 business days as required by South Carolina law.
